Johns Hopkins University

April 10th, 2017

Hosted in collaboration with the Hopkins Museum Club, the Gun Show was installed in the Glass Pavilion at Johns Hopkins University. While students, faculty and staff stopped by the exhibition during the day, the event culminated in a round table discussion on the simple question: What is your relationship to guns? The question inspired a myriad of responses that dove into issues regarding representations of violence in video games, idealizations of masculinity and authority, systematic racism and Islamophobia, and the role of the arts in social and political conflicts.

This event is part of an on-going series of workshops and discussions the Gun Show team is co-developing with Baltimore-based artists, activists, and organizations.
